Terms & Conditions

Please note that by accessing, using or browsing this website you agree to be bound by it’s terms, conditions, disclaimers and limitations of liability.

Information and consultation obtained through this website is provided in good faith. Advice given is offered in response to information provided by the service user.  If potentially important information is withheld in the information given by the service user, this limits the nature and depth of advice that can be offered.

Whilst links to other services are provided, we make no warranty regarding any information or advice obtained therein, or any products or services link sites may recommend. All advice and recommendations obtained through link sites should be accepted at the service user’s discretion and judgment.

All information provided through this website is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between the service user and his/her family doctor or GP.  GP’s maintain an overview of their patient's needs, and it is helpful for us to inform GP’s that consultation has occurred with a service user.  We do seek the consent of service users before contacting their GP.  We take confidentiality seriously, and endeavour to respect this for service users.  However, confidentiality of the information shared cannot be maintained, if there is any risk identified as to the well-being of the service user, or another.

Clinical Psychology Direct is not an emergency mental health service, and neither does it provide 24 hour cover. Therefore, we cannot offer support for service users who are experiencing current suicidal thoughts, psychotic impulses, or other symptoms that would reflect acute and severe mental disturbance. In these instances, service users are advised to make urgent contact with their GP, who would be in a position to advise.

We do not guarantee that the website will be error free, uninterrupted, or always available.  At certain times of the year Clinical Psychology Direct consultants may be away on training or leave. We apologies for any inconvenience to service users during these periods, which are necessary to enable us to continue to provide optimum services.

Finally, any bookings service users make with Clinical Psychology Direct need to be paid for in advance of the consultation taking place. In the event that service users need to cancel or rearrange a booking, refunds will be made if the cancellation request is received by us at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation time.  In the event that a cancellation request is received with less than 24 hours notice, refunds will still be offered but a £25 cancellation fee will be levied. Clinical Psychology Direct apologises for this, but trusts service users will understand that appointments cannot be used by others, when they are cancelled at short notice.
