ABOUT ME

My name is Dr Bobby Sura.  I trained as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Leicester some 22yrs ago, before moving to further postgraduate studies in Systemic & Family Psychotherapy through the University of Birmingham a few years later. I am professionally registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and have Chartered Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).  I worked in NHS Mental Health Services from 1998-2016, but began offering services privately on a part time basis in 2005. Now in full time independent practice, I am free of long waiting lists and can see whoever needs help, at the time they need it. The newfound flexibility has energised my work and personal life, which makes me much more responsive to the people I am working with.  I am here to help, whenever you are ready.

So how can I help?  Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I promote transformation by encouraging a positive outlook, new attitudes and responses to stressful circumstances. Integrating the best ideas from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Person Centred Counselling, Solution Focussed Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Systemic Family Therapy, I have a wide range of tools and professional experience to help you get back on track. Infact, this wide therapeutic training and the ability to tailor-make interventions, is what makes Clinical Psychologists uniquely effective in the world of emotional health and wellbeing.

I have many years experience helping people with problems such as :
